People

‘Without people, you’re nothing’

Our influencers include the late Joe Strummer. The lead singer of the Clash, punk pioneer and political inspiration for a generation died in 2002.  His memory lives on in his music and lyrics, and also in the Joe Strummer Foundation, which Cogent Content supports. The charity provides opportunities to musicians and funding to projects around the world that create empowerment through music. Its ethos is based on the premise, ‘Without people, you’re nothing’.

Our aim is to empower individuals from all backgrounds, particularly those who are disadvantaged by gender, race, sexuality or class. We work with clients to improve diversity by giving people the means to take control of their lives, become more resilient and more independent.

It can take a potential employer or promotion board less than ten seconds to reject a job application. We create concise CVs and cover letters that improve your chances of making the interview. Cogent Content also provides support with the interview process and advice on salary negotiation.

Interpersonal

skills

We work with people with outstanding creative, technical and scientific skills. Yet even the most accomplished experts can face difficulty in getting their message across.  We offer one to one coaching and small group workshops in mastering essential soft skills including personal branding, presentation, networking and social selling.

Performance management

Tackling poor performance or failure to meet expectation in any sphere can present a delicate challenge to even the most experienced manager. We offer advice and guidance on the construction of clear role descriptions and objective setting as well as coaching on how to act fairly, yet decisively when things go wrong.

Time to reflect

Here at Cogent Content, every day is a school day. All human experience should give pause for thought. We call it learning by doing. So why not grab a cup of coffee and spend a few minutes reading some of our stories. We’re learning all the time. Our story telling is always grounded in human experience.
